The Ridge House.

...on the edge of the world.

“Standing on the deck, I feel like I’m flying o’er the Canyon”

Inside the Ridge House, you’ll find high ceilings, a cozy living space, a loft-style sleeping area, and a bathroom bathed in east-facing morning light. A large bonus room can become your second bedroom, office, or creative studio.

The expanded deck takes advantage of sweeping canyon views, and the Southern California climate allows the boundaries between of inside & outside to gently blur.

The Ridge House includes:

  • Pure coastal canyon-land vibes
  • Loft bedroom w/east-facing morning deck
  • Extra large bath / shower
  • Expansive wrap-around deck
  • Large art studio w/high ceiling & arched windows
  • In-house washer / dryer
  • Natural, sustainable and affordable pellet heating system
  • All new kitchen appliances
  • New slate countertops
  • New & extendable Wi-Fi & internet
  • Emergency battery backup

Living & Loft.

Indoor/outdoor Southern California living.

The Ridge house was designed to take full advantage of its unique perch at the very edge of the ridge it’s build on. No matter where you are in the house, the views are inescapable.

The greatly expanded wrap-around deck enhances both the scenery and climate, creating an outdoor extension of the home. Mature oak trees provide welcomed shade during midday.

In the evening, ascend to the cozy sleeping loft. In the morning enjoy the morning sunlight as it crests the ridge on the rooftop deck.

The Kitchen.

A fully renovated cook’s kitchen.

New appliances, slate countertops, and warm wood cabinetry create a functional yet welcoming space — open to the living area and oriented toward the canyon views.

The thoughtfulness and love that went into the design of the Ridge House is apparent in the hand-made, hand-placed tiles which immortalize both the house and the oak forest the house is situated within.

The Studio.

A spacious, light filled art/music studio.

Find your creative flow in the quiet, private, shaded studio at the back side of the Ridge House. The Studio features double-height ceilings and large windows facing an oak grove, creating a lofty and light-filled space. It’s ideal as an office, recording studio, art studio, or an additional bedroom.

The Writer’s Retreat.

1952 Hanson “Love Bug” Trailer.

When a guest arrives (or a college student makes a cameo), or in case you want to host your own artist-in-residence program, invite them to spend the night without cramping your style in this beautifully restored midcentury trailer. The only catch is they may never leave!

The “Love Bug” – a completely restored, all-original midcentury teardrop trailer – comes fully outfitted with an origianl gas stove & oven, refrigerator, high-speed internet, a dining table, and a cozy bed for two. And if your guests have guests, the dining table converts into an additional bed.

Just steps away, an outdoor shower with instant hot water invites you to bath under the open sky while taking in panoramic canyon vistas.

Close enough to holler when it’s time for dinner, but but far enough so that no one will be disturbed when you’re in their flow state.

The Land.

...where the mountain meets the sea.

The land is the star.

Set on over 17 acres of hillside terrain, tucked into a quiet canyon off the main boulevards with generously sized neighboring parcels, it feels a million miles away.

The gated driveway leads you up into your own private setting, surrounded by sweeping mountain and canyon views. Despite its sense of retreat, you remain a short walk to the heart of Topanga and within easy reach of Malibu and Los Angeles.

The creative spirit that has fed artists & musicians for decades is palpable. Perfect for those seeking a peaceful sanctuary, a creative escape, or a coastal-focused lifestyle.

  • 17.5 acres of private canyon wilderness
  • Seasonal waterfall on the property in winter!
  • All new drainage system to support heavy rains
  • Newly paved driveway & turnaround
  • New landscape irrigation system
  • Renovated septic system with aerobic boost
  • New automated path & landscape lighting
  • New toolshed & storage
  • On-site Level 2 EV charging

The Town.

“Don’t change Topanga...

...let Topanga change you.”

The name Topanga comes from the indigenous Tongva people, who originally called it Topaa'nga – often translated as, where the mountains meet the sea, or a place above.

Topanga has certainly lived up to this namesake. While just minutes from Los Angeles and Malibu, Topanga has preserved its distinct bohemian culture of artists, filmmakers, and musicians.

The community is deeply connected – to one another and to the land.

If you’re looking for something truly special, come check it out for yourself!
